May 15, 2019 — We congratulate and welcome these two organizations as new SASPs:
Lac du Flambeau Statewide Shelter Program
The Lac du Flambeau Statewide Shelter Program has been in operation for about 40 years, offering sexual assault and domestic violence services to all tribal and non-tribal communities statewide. The program is part of the Lac du Flambeau Sensitive Crimes Response Team (SCRT), which includes a SANE clinic and the tribal police department as team members. They offer culturally appropriate and spiritually respectful materials to each survivor. Education and technical assistance is offered statewide to any program seeking these services. Client referrals can be made directly by contacting the program and speaking with an advocate. The program also offers a toll-free statewide crisis line: (800- 236-7660).
