This will be a valuable opportunity to connect with your elected representatives to tell them what is happening in your programs and why we need critical funding now.

Our focus for this event will be on stand-alone legislation that would increase funding for sexual assault and domestic abuse services as proposed by Governor Evers in his 2023-25 Executive Budget. Given the news of significant reductions in VOCA funding next year, this is an extremely important opportunity to keep the importance of funding victims services front and center for members of the Legislature. Ian and I will share talking points/messaging guidance for your meetings with your legislators at the prep session on October 17.

As with previous in-person Legislative Advocacy Day events, participants are responsible for scheduling meetings with their legislators in advance. Please reach out to your legislators as soon as possible to ensure that they will be able to fit your meeting into their schedule. If you need support or have questions about this, let us know!
